Resident doctors (previously known as junior doctors) are taking industrial action from Wednesday 17 December 2025 to Monday 22 December 2025, locally and nationally.

Whilst Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is putting plans in place to reduce the impact this will have on the running of Royal Berkshire Hospital and its other services, some appointments may need to be changed.

If your appointment is impacted by this, you will be contacted by the Trust to reschedule your appointment to another day. However, if you have not heard from us, you should come in as planned for your appointment.

If you need urgent or emergency care on the day, please choose services wisely during the industrial action to help ensure support is available to those who need it most.

Pharmacy: Please visit your local pharmacy for expert advice for minor illnesses

NHS 111: Non-emergency help

GP Advice: Out of hours call 111

Emergency Department or call 999: For emergencies only

I recently visited a fertility support therapy clinic in London London, and the experience felt professional, calm, and easy to follow. https://lunafertility.co.uk/

While looking for support, I found a private women’s gynaecology treatment service in London London, and the consultation felt respectful and easy to understand. https://thelunaclinic.com/
