We’re delighted to share this update from Alliance and Cohesion for Racial Equality (ACRE) to help encourage our Reading communities, networks and residents to access these valuable vaccine videos. Please share this article and videos so we can all help more people understand their vaccine options and support healthier communities.

"Alliance and Cohesion for Racial Equality (ACRE) has launched a new series of multilingual vaccine information videos designed to help more people access clear, trustworthy guidance about important vaccinations. The videos cover the MMR vaccine (for both adults and children), Flu, RSV, and COVID‑19, and are available in Arabic, Nepali, and Urdu.

This project has been funded by the Integrated Care Board to support vaccine uptake and reduce health inequalities. Many communities face barriers to accessing health information, especially when English is not their first language. By providing accurate, culturally sensitive content in multiple languages, the project aims to make essential vaccine information easier to understand and act on.

A key part of this work has been ACRE’s close collaboration with Community Health Champions. These Champions play a vital role as trusted messengers within their communities. They appear in the videos themselves, helping ensure the information feels relatable, relevant, and rooted in lived experience. Throughout the project, they have been sharing details about vaccine availability, symptoms, eligibility, and where to go for vaccination, helping community members make informed decisions about their health.

By combining accessible language, trusted community voices, and clear public health information, ACRE’s vaccine video project is helping to bridge gaps, empower communities, and support healthier futures for everyone."
